Status page has these configuration parameters:

status page settings

Let's go and see what each of these are and how they work.

Name

Name is the displayed name and title of the status page. It is used both as the page or tab's title, and the status page's header title.

Components

Components are the list of the components (a.k.a. gazers and pulses) that are displayed on the status page. You can click the Change button to select the gazers and pulses.

Domain

Domain is the address you want your status page to be served on. By default, your status page will be accessible on an automatically generated URL like www.webgazer.io/s?id=1. To use a custom domain, or a subdomain, you can set a custom domain.

Setting a custom domain requires some additional configuration. For more information, please see here: Custom domain and SSL.

Logo is one of the personalization and customization options. You can upload your brand's logo to be displayed on the top of the status page.

The image file you are going to upload should be in one of the formats GIF, JPEG, PNG, or SVG.

Link enables you to add a link to be displayed on the top of the status page. Basically, it is for adding a link to your website's landing page. You can add a link that says "Go to home page", and takes the visitor to your business' website.

Message

Message enables you to display a message on top of your status page. It is useful for setting a generic message like "We are having an outage right now.", or "There is a scheduled maintenance going on, we are going to be back on 07:00.".

Message kind

Message kind can be Info, Success, Warning or Error. Message kind basically determines the color of the message. Info is blue, success is green, warning is yellow, and the error is red.

Message content

Message content is the displayed text context of the message. Message content is in markdown to support a better, enriched communication.
