Setting an SMS/phone call alert

You can get incident notifications via SMS or phone call by setting an alert.

Add SMS/phone call alert

You can set up an SMS/phone call alert under the Alerts section.

  1. Go to the Alerts section

  2. Click on Add Alert

  3. Choose the gazer/pulse you want to add an alert

  4. Choose SMS or Phone call under Via

  5. Choose your alert schedule

    When an incident starts or ends if you want to get two notifications, one at the start and one at the end of an incident

    When an incident starts if you want to get a notification only at the start of an incident

    When an incident ends if you want to get a notification only at the end of an incident

  6. Choose when you want to get an alert

    Immediately, if you want to get an alert when an incident is registered

    If it lasts, if you want to get an alert if the incident continues for more than a certain time duration

  7. Type in the phone number you want get SMS or phone call notifications and click Add Alert

Now, you get a notification consistent with your alert preferences when an incident occurs.

If you want to get the incident notifications to a single number, choose Any gazer and Any pulse while adding the alert.
Each notification takes on credit from your SMS/phone call credit balance. To make better use of your credits, you can choose to get notified only when an incident starts under Schedule while setting an alert.

Update an SMS/phone call alert

You can update an alert on the Alerts section.

  1. Go to the Alerts section
  2. Click on the three dots on an SMS/phone call alert
  3. Click on Edit alert settings
  4. Make the necessary changes
  5. Click on Update Alert
It is not possible to change the Via option of an existing alarm. If you want to make this alert of another type, first delete this alert by clicking on three dots and selecting Delete alert. Then, add a new alert for the gazer/pulse.

SMS/Phone call credits

SMS and phone call credits are jointly handled. You can use your credits for SMS and phone calls. Each notification takes one credit from your credit balance.

You can see your remaining credits when you hover over your avatar on the web application.

Buying more credits is possible by reaching out to us. Please send your request to us on support@webgazer.io with the number of credits. We send you a one-time invoice. When you make the payment, your credits are added to your balance.
